AccessoryWatch: Ballistic Case

Some of you may or may not be in the market for a case. It's a wise decision to at least look into making such an investment. Especially if you carry and smartphone (the reason you're reading this today) and if you're prone to dropping your device on a regular schedule (and some of you are). Insurance is a nice for these problems, but at the end of the day you are still liable for paying an insurance deductible when making a claim. Then the unfortunate part: the device will likely be a refurbished version of your existing model if you carry the more popular device. New is likely out of the question. If you carry a device that is not as popular then look forward to receiving a adequate replacement which could be just about any other model that's not the device you originally purchased. Bummer right? Well how about the even bigger bummer? You lose out on that one year warranty that protects you and entitles you to a new device if your existing device begins acting up without any case by you. Yeah, it's time to consider some additional steps to counter act some of these problems. Let's talk more about it after the jump...

I know the feeling
That there is an HTC Thunderbolt for Verizon. I have one of those. I also have a cracked screen but mine doesn't look like this. I can still use my device as it's only one large slice in the lower half of the device. Fair enough but what could have I done to avoid such damage. Some of the standard cases in the market are nice, but there is one that some of you extreme phone abusers could definitely use. I almost wish I had one for my very rare drop and unfortunate once in a lifetime kick.

If you're using one of the more popular devices like the Evo 4G, Evo 3D, DROID X, HTC Thunderbolt or any popular model that doesn't have a sliding keyboard, Ballistic likely has you covered. Even you iPhone folks have a home here.

Their case models are extremely durable and tested over and over for quality. Tested to the point of dropping the phone from the roof of a house in the middle of a call and picking it up to see if the call was still connected. They have video to prove it. Some are waterproof. Some comes with 5 layers of protection with soft padding on the inside and military grade tough shell protection on the outside. These guys don't mess around. The only downside is the fact that the case bulks up the overall size of your phone. The space your device will take up while protected by a Ballistic Case will be noticeable, but it might be well worth it for a good majority of you butterfingers out there.

So if you're in the market for a case head over to www.goballisticcase.com/ and check out some of the offerings. They might have something that's right for you.
