Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 Update for HTC Sensation Ready


Now that was fast! For those of you who have been picking up the T-Mobile flagship the HTC Sensation since it's release in mid-June. Rejoice as the latest Android software build for the phone is being released. The front facing camera device will now enjoy the Google Chat with video feature that critics have been raving about along with a host of battery and stability improvements.

Beginning August 18, the HTC Sensation 4G will receive a software update to Android 2.3.4, which improves performance and stability. The update will continue over the following weeks and not be complete until late September.

We cannot expedite how  quickly you receive the update.

The update to Android 2.3.4 / software version 1.45.531.1 has the following features and improvements.

Check for software update
You may check your phone settings to see if it has received the  software update. To check for updates, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Touch About phone.
  3. Touch HTC software updates.
  4. Touch Check.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts.
  6. Wait as your phone restarts and updates to Android 2.3.4 / software version 1.45.531.1.


Download software update
After receiving a notification that you received the update, you may download the update. To download, follow these steps:

  1. From the message Notification Screen, touch Download.
  2. Touch Install Now.
  3. Wait as your phone restarts and updates to Android 2.3.4 / software version 1.45.531.1.
Run to the settings of your phone and pull down yourself some home made Gingerbread.
